Courses are offered throughout the year. Many courses cover the very basics of what is necessary for the study of family history. Others offer more advanced understanding of the resources and methods involved.
From January 2014 courses will also be offered focusing on the Home front during the Great War (1914-1918). Watch this space for upcoming details of courses in South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
Most courses are run through the Workers’ Educational Association (please see elsewhere for more information on the WEA).
In addition courses are occasionally offered on wider subject areas including the sociology of religion, social ethics, conscience and dissent in WW1, puppetry, drama, volunteering and community organisation and development.
